God will reset your value system. You can say Amen if it works but when you desire that He reset your value system, He will take you through process. Each day many wake up to the handouts of God’s miracles. Yes you need it for survival most time but God wants you to grow beyond the handouts. He wants to make you a blessing. Jesus had style, He had grace, He had panache,  He had swag. He dined with the classless but that was not because He had complex but because he had compassion on them. He also brought them to His class level. He also dined with the highly placed in the society.  He dined with the Pharisees. Though the rulers of the people wanted Him to neglect the downtrodden,  He never did. Whose son are you if the social strata of this world discriminate you. You cringe in self-pity and worthlessness because of what you don't have. You don't know what you've got inside.  That which you have inside should sell and advertise you to any socioeconomic class. It should make you acceptable.  Don't sell yourself cheap because you were bought with a heavy price. You are worth the most precious thing in heaven and earth. Look up when you are overwhelmed by your surroundings.  Look up to your father when the happenings of your surroundings are not responding to your needs and situations. Look up to our father because that is what our big brother Jesus always do when the earthly circumstances can't and didn't supply what He needed or what He wanted to do. The father's promise is to supply your needs according to His own riches in glory through our big brother Jesus; who did the same while He was on earth. It is impossible for God to lie when it is confirmed once and not any likely when it is established by two; Himself and His son. The resources in heaven and earth are all yours for the taking; once you are a son/daughter.

History is a reminder of feats and exploits of the past. Date and time might sometimes have significant value but what is often crucial is the feat(s) achieved and when such feat is repeated or surpassed another history is written.   The writer of the book of Hebrew simply called those historical feats recorded in the previous chapters (11) as cloud of witnesses (12:1). Those clouds of witnesses are there to remind and urge us on that we can repeat similar feats and even surpass them. The writer summed it up in the last verse that we can do better and those who have gone ahead of us are waiting and urging us to surpass those feats. They will be ridiculed if we cannot surpass them. They would be incomplete if we shrink in comparison to their achievements.  History does not limit us in any form and does not want us to shrink at all from such exploit. I am from the school of logic. I like to have it all figured out and sometimes I feel I have got a grasp of everything and if not all, almost all. Each time this happens something disrupt the balance of the equation.  I hate leaving things to chances, it is not my method but these days God is increasingly teaching me that life is complex and I can only do my bit and wait for other things to fall in place. He alone makes things to fall in place. He gives me the will and strength to do my bit and He makes other things to fall in place. I only wish I could consistently leave everything to Him but my nature often kicks. I think I know understand what Paul meant by those things he wished to do he didn't do them and the thing he never wished to do he kept doing. Our education and background often programme us to do things in certain ways. We must be seen working and when we are not we don feel good. We feel lazy and unproductive.  Hey who wired us that way!
