It is so easy for the reality of God to be lost even to the most ardent believer. We can be lost when we only know what people have written or said about him. It is easy to become an atheist, when we let people validate or invalidate God. Nothing validate or invalidate God. He can exist or not exist base on your perception of your own worth. The day you come to realise you is the day you know God. God expresses himself in different fashions and forms and he cannot be restricted to someone's definition or a group nomenclature.  No theology adequately captures God.
