The Pressure, Then Pleasure

For the first time in my life I am really and truly grateful to God for the many troubles I have passed through, the ones I am passing through and with great expectations do I look forward to the ones ahead.
I am so happy and grateful to God because in those unpalatable situations I have made tough choices which has pushed me farther in life.
Most of us look at our good lives and forget the many troubles that were catalyst for the good we are facing today. The supposed good things are not the real deal, the deal breakers are the pressure cooker moments that tapped our inner resources
My only prayer is for us to see the positives and God in our situations. My prayer is that our weaknesses will also receive strength to make tough choices that will propel us to our rightful place in life.
The purpose of prayer is not to arm twist or cajole or beg God to do something for us. The place of prayer is to align our will with His, align the mundane with the celestial. It is a place where our weaknesses and selfish desires are exchanged for strength and purposeful direction. When these happen, the mandate of God is fulfilled and our needs are met automatically.
Your problems are not meant to break you, they are meant to make you great. He see you and knows your challenges but He doesn't want to breed a weakling, He wants to nurture a responsible child, a giant.
Hard pressed on every side but we gain the treasure of reaching out to those things beyond our 'normal'capacity

Those clouds of witnesses are there to remind and urge us on that we can repeat similar feats and even surpass them. The writer summed it up in the last verse that we can do better and those who have gone ahead of us are waiting and urging us to surpass those feats. They will be ridiculed if we cannot surpass them. They would be incomplete if we shrink in comparison to their achievements.  History does not limit us in any form and does not want us to shrink at all from such exploit. All history is about is for us to leverage on those feats and stand on the shoulders of those heroes to see further. History be...
