When Your Enemies Just Refuse to Die

You have prayed many prayers and you want your enemies to die. Acoording to your testimony some have died but for some, none have died. The good news is that they are not dying yet.

I. Some are meant to back off when you call on God (1). However, the great news is that some will not back off when you call on God. They will just become defiant, that they will keep waylaying you.

II. This is because some of them are meant to set up your greatness. When they are doing it they won't know they are doing you a favour. Mind you it won't be a bed of roses when they are doing it, you just need to ask Joseph how it felt like to be sold to slavery by his siblings or ask Mordecia how it felt to have an adversary like Haman.

III. Some of them won't even back off at that point because some of them need to make peace with you. Because if the ways of a man pleases God, even his enemies will be at peace with him (2). They will drive you so hard and mad until you start pleasing God.

IV.They won't die because some of them are meant to witness God prepare a table before you even in their very own eyes (3). Look they don't need to die but if any of them keep blocking God's will in your life, God will do whatever pleases Him with them. He can humilate them, or make them repent, or make them suffer and if they are hell bent on your destruction, then God has no choice but to let them press the self destruct buttom. The ones that need to die will die but it is not in your hand to execute their judgment but you and the way you live for God can arrange for such judgment day with God.

The Beautiful Ones are not Yet Born

History is a reminder of feats and exploits of the past. Date and time might sometimes have significant value but what is often crucial is the feat(s) achieved and when such feat is repeated or surpassed another history is written.   The writer of the book of Hebrew simply called those historical feats recorded in the previous chapters (11) as cloud of witnesses (12:1). Those clouds of witnesses are there to remind and urge us on that we can repeat similar feats and even surpass them. The writer summed it up in the last verse that we can do better and those who have gone ahead of us are waiting and urging us to surpass those feats. They will be ridiculed if we cannot surpass them. They would be incomplete if we shrink in comparison to their achievements.  History does not limit us in any form and does not want us to shrink at all from such exploit. All history is about is for us to leverage on those feats and stand on the shoulders of those heroes to see further. History be...
