The
empires that we see today are not churches because they will all disappear and
this is just a matter of time. Where is the Corinthian church that was divided
into Paul, Peter, Apollo and Jesus faction? (1 Corinthians 1: 11-13).
Christianity no longer exists in the region. I am a catholic, I am an orthodox,
I am a Pentecostal, I am a member of Redeemed Christian church, I am
Charismatic Renewal, I am a Winner etc. these are empires built to acquire
earthy members. Each holding to a strand of God and the gospel it understands. The
church is anybody that upholds the word of God in speech and character and a
community of people that do the same, irrespective of religious leaning and practice. Remember the woman by the well who was confused by where the true
place of worship was (John 4:20), so do we confuse the world with walls and
borders of the church. Are you in such confused state and these denominations
just make the gospel confusing, come to Jesus the head of the border-less
church. The Samaritans worshipped what they don’t know while the Jews worshipped what they knew but the true worship and place of worship was confusing
(John 4:21-22). The Samaritans were outcast Jews because they had crossbreed
(married from neighbouring nations) and there was deep fight for superiority and
supremacy over the right place and right mode of worship between Samaritans and
Jews. Samaria was the capital of the ten tribes that got separated from Judah
and Benjamin- they were brothers and sisters from the twelve tribes of Israel (1
Kings 12; 20, 1 Kings 16; 24-30), just the way it is with many of our empires.
When we try to pouch you for 'our' empires, we tell you prayers are best
answered in Mountain of Fire and Miracle, holiness is better attained in Deeper
Life Church, financial breakthrough is better attended to in Winners Chapel and
you get so confused. The old tabernacle of Solomon had long been destroyed, yet
the Jew still glory in it by holding onto the relics of history Just like the
question of that woman, ‘our fathers worshipped on this mountain but you Jews
claim that the true place of worship is in Jerusalem’. Where then is the true
place of worship? That is a question central to the heart of every man (atheist
or followers of any religion). The true place of worship was neither in Samaria
nor in Jerusalem. Nobody has a monopoly of God. The package is all wrapped in one border-less
church. Jesus’ answer was simple and short, time has changed, thus the physical
place of worship has become secondary as those who worship God are now the border-less Church, who worship God in spirit and truth and God is earnestly
recruiting such people to join that church (John 4:23). Come to Jesus the head of the border-less
church, He wants to make you a shining light because the world awaits the manifestations
of the sons of God (Rom 8: 19) and until then, the whole world will grope about
in darkness. Paul told the Christians in Corinth that when he came to them,
what and who he showed them was Jesus Christ and no one else. He (Paul) was not
someone who had larger than life carriage so there was no need to create a
faction after Paul or create a church for Paul’s teaching. They knew his human failings
but Christ was the centre of the gospel and signs and wonders confirmed God and
His words, and compensated for the human inadequacies (1 Corinthians 2:3-6).
Come join the God’s general that will push the frontier of God’s kingdom in
this dark age, where many bring human philosophy as kingdom answers and solutions. You have hated the walled
churches/empires because of the inadequacies of men. It is just like hating hospitals
because of one doctor’s malpractice but those who made you hate the church themselves
are on life support. They try to give you a life they don’t have, a hope they
know nothing about. A doctor can only administer treatment at his/her own level
of knowledge. Look past them and look unto just one person that can help you
out, Christ Jesus (Hebrew 12:2).
