Time and Season for Every Man

The meanings of certain words, clichés’ etc., do not hit some people until later in life. There are many words that fly around and how many of them can one really take note of? But when the realities of life sink into many of us and these words come to convey deep meanings as one take time to think deeply and reflect. Then it is possible to recount the words, their impact and the consequence of not understanding those words and sayings early in life. Time and experience indeed are great teachers. Talent is never enough to navigate the whims and caprices of life. It takes gut, determination, persistence and sometimes some slice of luck.
Some people are early bloomer in life while some people are late bloomer. The early bloomers are the talented people. They get things right early in life because of natural talent, high IQ etc. They are the geniuses, the gods, the whiz-kids around us. However the late bloomers are those who invest time, energy, dedication and passion to what they do before they actually make it. They seem to stay longer on the stage and seem to always rule over the early bloomers because they through experience, dedication and hard work had to overcome obstacles, get past the never do well syndrome or even emerge out of the shadows of early bloomers. One thing set this class of achievers apart-they never give up. However a lot of people in this class do fall by the road side because they found it frustrating to be in the shadows of very talented and intelligent people, most times the early bloomers.
There are however few early bloomer that are able to transit from the initial whiz-kid status to adult genius, as those people inculcate hard work, dedication and passion to their work. They do not take their talent lightly or for granted and therefore they become superhuman-who we most times refer to as gods. They transcend their present time and generation and are able to peep into the future. Talent indeed is not enough to fully utilise and maximise ones potentials. According the TD Jake, the graveyard is one of the most valuable treasure  trove on earth, much endowed than gold mine. Because in the graveyard are potentials that were never utilised, talents that were never exploited and visions that were not put to test. Therein lies people that died frustrated; wishing their lives would have been better if they had the opportunities of others. Alas some people live like that all days of their life. Refusing only to see what they don’t have and not seeing what they have.
Whether earlier or late bloomer, everyone has to use his/her opportunity very well. No need of envying anyone because most envy is born out of the fact that one does not recognise his time and season as well as talent. The little talent you have can be grown with hard work and dedication. Crying about not having enough takes one nowhere but it often embitters people-people who instead of using their own talent crave for that of others. What you have and you don’t cherish is what others are craving and aspiring for.
When we compete it should be part of the consciousness we carry that we have different seasons, strength, capacity and competence thus the niche at which we compete is different. The best person to compete with or against is certainly oneself. This is because the person that needs to be best to make it, is really you. Others are factors that inspire us to do more but is only by improving self that one can actually become the best

The Beautiful Ones are not Yet Born

History is a reminder of feats and exploits of the past. Date and time might sometimes have significant value but what is often crucial is the feat(s) achieved and when such feat is repeated or surpassed another history is written.   The writer of the book of Hebrew simply called those historical feats recorded in the previous chapters (11) as cloud of witnesses (12:1). Those clouds of witnesses are there to remind and urge us on that we can repeat similar feats and even surpass them. The writer summed it up in the last verse that we can do better and those who have gone ahead of us are waiting and urging us to surpass those feats. They will be ridiculed if we cannot surpass them. They would be incomplete if we shrink in comparison to their achievements.  History does not limit us in any form and does not want us to shrink at all from such exploit. All history is about is for us to leverage on those feats and stand on the shoulders of those heroes to see further. History be...
