The Worship of Vessels and Miracles is Idolatry and abomination to God

'For any miracle, goodness and favour you receive, all honour and praise must be returned to God alone and not to any man or even a prophet. Prophets or people who help or aid the miracles are like midwife who help the delivery process, they are not the author of the miracle (baby).
Acknowledge God in 2015'

When Solomon built a temple to God, because he (Solomon) was a liberal king that accepted all manner of worship even from foreign nations, different idols and gods were brought into the temple and incenses offered to them. Of note was however the bronze serpent that God used to wrought deliverance in the wilderness through Moses (Numbers 21:8-9). Incense was offered to this serpent and people worshiped that serpent. The true God of the temple was not worshiped but people substituted God with an instrument God used in conducting deliverance. The same way most of us substitute the worship of God with instruments of His miracles and deliverance like Pastors, prophets, anointing oil, mantle, handkerchiefs etc. We place our faith in these vessels and media that God used at certain point as channel of His blessings and deliverance. It is nothing but idolatry. When God is not the point of worship but people, vessels or medium of His blessings becomes the point of worship, it is nothing but modern idolatry. The most painful part of it is that some of these things have become a part of our daily worship to God just the way the serpent was part of the temple until the time of Hezekiah (2Kings 18:2-4). God condoned the worship (worshiping idols alongside Him)when there was no knowledge of His word the way He still spoke to Solomon at the dedication of the temple even when Solomon still burn strange incense on strange alters but when Solomon was expected to have grown in knowledge beyond the worship of idols, God became angry with him and raised enemies against him (1Kings 3:1-6, 1Kings11:4-39).When you were a young Christian, God permitted your naivety because your knowledge of Him is limited but when you should have grown and you still continue in those traditions of the elders handed down, He becomes jealous and your worship becomes an abomination. Seek Him in totality, worship Him and Him alone and do not give His honour to the works of His hand or medium of his blessings because He is a jealous God.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?’-Marianne Williamson
