I
will like to pray for someone today. Are you kidding me because I perceive
someone has his/her eyes closed. I am just kidding; I am sure your eyes are not closed
because you won’t be reading if they are but I suspect someone is geared
to say Amen. I am damn serious I want to pray for someone but before you say
amen please read the content of the prayer properly. I want to pray for those
who have been hurt, jilted, left heart broken by a guy.
I am one of those guys
that have hurt, jilted and broken someone's heart. Just imagine what my prayer
would be. But I am serious I want to pray for you and the prayer is that by
terrible experiences God will punish all those who have hurt you, jilted you and
left you heart broken and bring them to justice. That was what God did to me.
He through terrible experiences changed me and I suffered many things before I
became at least this humble, reasonable Isaac that is attempting to pray for you.
Some of us cannot change when dealt with kids gloves; we are just like Paul who
through terrible experience got converted. Paul was not used to gentility
because it was through terrible experiences that he preached the gospel thus
some people can only be changed by terrible experience and it is through and in
those hard circumstances that they can perform their duty well. Paul
was a violent man before his conversions and thus he understood violence and
could tolerate. He could violently preach the gospel to violent people not minding
the consequences. A leopard does not
change it skin so God only channelled Paul's energy to a good cause. Imagine a
Paul harassing a Peter but imagine the other part; Paul preaching in
territories Peter cannot preach; Paul complementing. How often do we discard people of different
personality and traits? That is the reason for my prayer. However what came to
your mind when I was praying for terrible things to happen to those people. Did
you say amen? Were you confused or you just continue to read? I know some
people have said amen. If you did, you broke the rule because I asked you to
finish reading the prayer content which is still on before saying amen. Did I
mean the prayers, I mean it. I remember a friend in school who once prayed the
prayer. She said I pray that God take away her excesses through terrible
experiences. She meant it because she
was a tough lady. She was not a bitch; she was a no-nonsense lady who wanted to
make sense of her life. She was tough and she goes for whatever she wanted and
we coined a good name for her person from her name and character-Kofoshi (she
does not take nonsense). She is on Facebook and I know she would be laughing
seeing this part. Now pitch the two circumstances against one another; that I
was praying for those who had hurt you to be changed through terrible
circumstances and someone was praying such prayers for herself. It was the same
thing; I wanted the best thing for those people and she wanted the best thing
for herself but alas it is not a convenient prayer. We go to church and we pray
about killing our enemies, mind you the devil and demons don’t die. Not now at
least! Invariably that means there are terrible people making life miserable
for us that we want dead. God answers prayers and when those people are really
terrible they can be allowed to die. But imagine a guy, a lady, woman etc. who
is just a pain in your butt and you want the person dead. Imagine someone
praying such prayers for you. How many people are you a pain in the butt to?
How many people do you oppress and repress just because you are in a position
to do so. Imagine all those whose lives have become miserable because you once
met them or your path crossed. Imagine them sending the prayer to you. That is
why I would like you to alter your prayers to God using terrible experiences to
afflict them so that they can change instead of perishing because the way you
desire and deserve more than a second chance is the way they do. It is through
those terrible experiences that people become useful to themselves, to fellow
human and to God. Only let those terrible experiences convert you and not make you
to a monster.
Peace
