When the Preachers wife is a witch

I grew up in a Christian church/denomination where when a man has a problem; it is usually connected or tied to a woman (wife, daughter, mother etc.). When the problem or situation becomes so intense and unbearable one of those women is labelled a witch or demon.

Men in our social cultural (Yorubas, I don’t know of other tribes) environment are made to believe that all women belong to a particular cult which makes man easily subject to their power and such belief system was never uprooted but was transported into many Christian denominations. Such old fable was also spread by some bigot Jewish-Christian, a prophet at that, who believed that people of particular race or tribe were bad. ‘One of them even a prophet of their own said, ‘Cretans are always lairs, evil beasts, lazy gluttons’ (Titus 1:12). When you are in a relationship with a woman especially your wife and you treat her with disdain/disrespect, heaven is locked against you and your prayers become an abomination and not answered. According to 1Peter 3:7 ‘Husband, likewise dwell with them (your wife) with understanding, giving honour to the wife, as a weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered’, We violate spiritual orders and principles when we only consider our wife as weaker vessel (physically or spiritually) without giving her what is due to her (honouring her with your (husband) body  and emotionally, financially, physically etc.; when we do not consider our wife as joint heir of God’s grace. Thus no matter how spiritual or how respected one is in the society, violating this godly principle opens the gate of hell in a man’s life and no matter how anointed you are, heaven is locked against such a person. Go and reconcile with the wife of your youth, she is the source of your blessing. The first responsibility of a man is to his wife and family. The economic situation and pressing needs of families has made many people shift the burden of responsibility of children to church and school and we thus fail to build the first unit of social order which is the family. The society collapse when we are all busy chasing money about and busy with church activities and we  do not care for the woman we called our wife and not taking time to building the children socially, emotionally, spiritually, psychologically etc.). Do not marry if you don’t want the responsibility but if you want to marry and you are married you must take up the responsibilities attached; with the responsibility comes blessings. If you are enjoying the benefit of marriage-sex and you are not married, you need marriage but you are only running from the responsibility. You hurt your partner in that way because one of you is expecting more than sex and in most cases it is the woman. So you are hurting her if you think you can enjoy her in bed without the commitment of marriage
Peace

The Beautiful Ones are not Yet Born

History is a reminder of feats and exploits of the past. Date and time might sometimes have significant value but what is often crucial is the feat(s) achieved and when such feat is repeated or surpassed another history is written.   The writer of the book of Hebrew simply called those historical feats recorded in the previous chapters (11) as cloud of witnesses (12:1). Those clouds of witnesses are there to remind and urge us on that we can repeat similar feats and even surpass them. The writer summed it up in the last verse that we can do better and those who have gone ahead of us are waiting and urging us to surpass those feats. They will be ridiculed if we cannot surpass them. They would be incomplete if we shrink in comparison to their achievements.  History does not limit us in any form and does not want us to shrink at all from such exploit. All history is about is for us to leverage on those feats and stand on the shoulders of those heroes to see further. History be...
