When Everything affects Everything: Do we need to Pray more or Start Acting Right

A typical Nigerian is a prayer warrior irrespective of religion. Why do we need to pray so hard. Is God deaf or what really is the problem?

I am giving this illustration about my friend. He went to register his renewable energy firm. He was given a lot of problems and hassles because he had no money for tips. Now supposing he could come up with a solution for our power problem and yet was hindered because of the extra money for tip. Then it so happened that the spouse or child or a family member of the person that gave him hassles died while being operated. The person died after power failure during operation.  This operation was backed by a lot of prayers and fasting. So was God the problem or our attitude. What if he is capable of providing a lot of jobs through his project and yet the same person has jobless graduate children at home.  He or she has been to mountains, rivers and valleys to get deliverance and job for them. The immediate desire for material gain and gratification above the overall good of the society has killed us and is still killing us.  So we see that everything affects everything.  Your faith and mine is absolutely useless without works.God is not deaf. Your attitude and mine need fixing to fix the situation.

Those clouds of witnesses are there to remind and urge us on that we can repeat similar feats and even surpass them. The writer summed it up in the last verse that we can do better and those who have gone ahead of us are waiting and urging us to surpass those feats. They will be ridiculed if we cannot surpass them. They would be incomplete if we shrink in comparison to their achievements.  History does not limit us in any form and does not want us to shrink at all from such exploit. All history is about is for us to leverage on those feats and stand on the shoulders of those heroes to see further. History be...
