God's Boundless Love

For God so love the world; all manner of persons and sinners in it (gay, lesbians, sodomite, adulterers, fornicators, armed robbers, transgender, abortionist, and all manners of perverts) that He gave His most precious asset- His son Jesus Christ that whosoever believe in Him (Jesus) should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16 paraphrase added). Those with pre-Christ righteousness or pocket sized holiness often stand in the way of those who made it worth Jesus dying and suffering on the cross. That was what the Pharisees,  the Saducces and the Scribes did: trying to prevent those who really needed Jesus from the saviour but Jesus was always in the company of those vilest sinners; Martha the woman with seven demons, the woman caught in adultery, the woman whose life has been messed up by six men and none was offering her security or hope, the corrupt tax collectors, the smelling and ailing beggers, the really hopeless and helpless.  Your pocket sized sin was worth His death but those vilest sinners and sins was what made His suffering and death worth it more. You were the reason His death was worth it. It was a heavy price because you were hopeless and helpless in sin. You are lost but His love has the depth, height, width to reach you no matter your situation.  Even the dead is not hopeless because He went to preach to the dead as well and as long as you are alive, His hands are no short to reach you.

If you would like to be reached by His long hands of mercy today, just say this prayer.

Lord Jesus I am lost and it seem my situation is hopeless but you died for such hopeless case like mine and you have given hope to more hopeless case than mine. Step into my situation and pull me our of my mess and weaknesses. Wash me and make a saint out of my sin state. Thank you Jesus.

The Beautiful Ones are not Yet Born

History is a reminder of feats and exploits of the past. Date and time might sometimes have significant value but what is often crucial is the feat(s) achieved and when such feat is repeated or surpassed another history is written.   The writer of the book of Hebrew simply called those historical feats recorded in the previous chapters (11) as cloud of witnesses (12:1). Those clouds of witnesses are there to remind and urge us on that we can repeat similar feats and even surpass them. The writer summed it up in the last verse that we can do better and those who have gone ahead of us are waiting and urging us to surpass those feats. They will be ridiculed if we cannot surpass them. They would be incomplete if we shrink in comparison to their achievements.  History does not limit us in any form and does not want us to shrink at all from such exploit. All history is about is for us to leverage on those feats and stand on the shoulders of those heroes to see further. History be...
